Rob Withers

Director

Rob has a decades experience in mechanical engineering consultancy. He holds a Masters in Business Administration and tertiary qualifications in Engineering.

Rob's experience extends beyond consultancy to providing technical advice for a major international air-conditioning manufacturer and project managing for a leading mechanical services contractor. He understand and has developed an in-depth understanding of client needs.

Rob has been central to works of national and international acclaim. He prides himself on leading a team that provides sophisticated, energy efficient solutions.

His experience ranges from small fitouts to high tech geothermal and chilled beam technology with projects exceeding half a billion dollars in value.

David Jorritsma

Associate Director

David has over 17 years of experience in the HVAC industry and is a Registered Engineering Associate (CEngA) with Engineers Australia. He has experience working on large scale commercial and residential projects leading and managing a team of engineers and drafters.
His long list of proven experience includes large central plant designs, NABERS energy upgrades, indoor swimming pools, large government offices (base building and fitout), education, aged care and large-scale residential projects.
David adopts a hands on approach to his projects to provide the best outcome for his clients. His trade background gives him the skills to understand the complexities and constraints associated with the construction phase and this shows in the practical designs he produces.
David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the MN8 team.

Alan Salcedo

Alex Huntley

Mechanical Engineer
BEng
Alan graduated from the Australian National University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, majoring in Mechanical & Material Systems as well as Renewable Energy Systems.
Alan has been working as an engineering consultant for the past 6 years. During this time he has gained experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems, working on a variety of projects ranging from residential apartment blocks, educational facilities, hospitals to commercial building base building upgrades and fit-out works.
As a part of these projects, Alan has specialised in both the design and drafting of the mechanical design elements which include central plant systems, ducted splits systems, general & kitchen exhaust systems.
Alan is proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT and CAMEL (Headload Estimation Software), utilising these programs in his project work.

Senior Mechanical Designer

Alex has over 15 years experience in the consulting industry and is a member of AIRAH, ASHRAE and Engineers Australia. His extensive project experience includes over
20 ACT Government school developments,
the Australian War Memorial upgrades,
university laboratory design, archival storage,
data centres, aged care facilities, pools, large
office buildings, fitouts and system
audits/independent commissioning assessment.

Each of these projects has allowed Alex to successfully implement technologies such as large chiller
and boiler systems (including thermal plant
replacement/expansion), VRF plant, humidity control equipment, pool specific air conditioning and VAV systems.

Kyle Smith

Design Drafter

Kyle has been working for MN8 consulting for the past 3 years in the role of design drafter. During this time he has gained experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems, working on a variety of projects ranging from high rise residential buildings, Childcare centres and aged care.
Kyle is proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT and CAMEL (heat load estimation software), utilising these programs in his project work.
